After I graduated from William Penn High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I attended Glouchester County Community College where I played in the Junior College National Championship game. I then attended Penn State University, playing guard/forward for two years. My final year at Penn State I was the assistant basketball coach for the men's team and graduated with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies.
After graduating I began working in the human services field as a case manager for Consortium in Philadelphia. I concurrently coached a youth basketball program at the Cunningham Recreational Center. Three years later, I moved to Indianapolis, where I currently reside. I began working in education, coaching middle school basketball and track and field.
In 2008, I took a position as the Guided Learning Center Coordinator and Assistant Track and Field coach for both boy's and girl's teams. . In 2009, I added the position of Assistant Boy's Junior Varsity Basketball Coach, which I currently still hold.
I live in Indianapolis with my son, Nile (5).
About my teams:
Arlington High School's boy's track and field team had two very successful seasons, winning back to back conference championships. We placed second in the city championship and look forward to competing in the city championship this coming school year. Several of our runners also competed in the state tournament.
The girl's team made tremendous strides this year. We came up from a last place finish last year to third place this year in our conference. We are looking for a very strong upcoming year, possibly competing for conference and city championships.
The Arlington boy's basketball team is in a rebuilding year. Last year we went 4 and 17, competing only 1 round in our sectionals. This year we have many talented freshman and sophomores that can hopefully turn the program around this year.
